What was once a staple in many Canadian homes will soon be unavailable in stores across the country.
Minute Maid frozen juice concentrate will be discontinued in Canada and the U.S., parent company Coca-Cola confirmed to CTVNews.ca Friday.
The company is “exiting the frozen can category” entirely in Canada, it said in an emailed statement. The decision was made “in response to shifting consumer preferences.”
The frozen cans of concentrate, which consumers could mix with water to make fruit juice, will be discontinued in Q1 of this year. The company said fans of the product will still be able to buy the cans, but only while in-store inventory lasts.
Coca-Cola Company said other juice products are more popular, so its priorities are shifting to match what consumers are buying most.
