Canadian fashion retailer Ardene says it is dealing with a “cyber incident.”
In an email sent to customers on Feb. 9, the Montreal-based company apologized for recent shipping delays and “temporary inconsistencies” with its Ardene Rewards program and gift cards.
“Approximately two weeks ago, we identified and responded to a cyber incident impacting some internal systems,” Ardene wrote.
“Immediate action was taken to contain the issue, secure the environment and implement precautionary measures.”
Ardene went on to say that its investigation into the incident is ongoing and it isn’t aware of any customer data being compromised at this time.
The fashion retailer added that shipping timelines are now back to normal and “our teams are working to fully restore all services shortly.”
“Our community means everything to us. You are the reason Ardene has been a strong Canadian brand for over 45 years,” Ardene said.
“Thank you for your patience and continued support.”
