A B.C. man who won a $5-million jackpot last month said he has no plans to stop playing the lottery in the wake of the windfall.
Jackie L., from Richmond, won Lotto 6/49’s Classic $5 Million Jackpot using a quick pick for the Jan. 28 draw, according to a news release from the B.C. Lottery Corporation.
His plans include paying off his mortgage, saving for retirement and supporting his kids and grandkids, he told the BCLC.
“We will be A-OK,” he said, also telling the BCLC he has no plans to change his lifestyle or to stop being careful with his money.
Jackie L. purchases his tickets through a subscription, which he told the BCLC he has no plans of cancelling.
The odds of winning the $5-million Lotto 6/49 jackpot are roughly one in 14 million.
