An Ottawa coffee shop with a location just steps from Parliament Hill and Sparks Street has been named one of the best specialty coffee shops in the world.
The World’s 100 Best Coffee Shops, billed as the “definitive list of the world’s best specialty coffee shops,” was released last week at CoffeeFest Madrid 2026.
Little Victories Coffee on Elgin Street ranked 71st on the list. The Onyx Coffee LAB in Rogers, Arkansas, ranked as the top coffee shop in the world.
Little Victories Coffee Roasters describes itself as a “small, independent specialty coffee roaster.
“We are dedicated to elevating the coffee culture in Ottawa and contributing to the bustling Canadian coffee scene,” the business said on its website.
There are three Little Victories Coffee Roasters locations in Ottawa — on Elgin Street, at 209 Queen Street and at 801 Bank Street in the Glebe.
Little Victories Coffee Roasters was one of three Canadian coffee shops on the list.
Nemesis in Vancouver ranked 15th, while Seven Mystery in Toronto placed 41st.
The rankings were produced through a mixed system combining the evaluation of more than 800 professional judges with public voting. More than 15,000 coffee shops around the world were analyzed, looking at coffee quality, barista experience and technique, customer service, space design and atmosphere, food and pastry quality and service consistency, according to the World’s 100 Best Coffee Shops.
