A Calgary driver was likely draped in embarrassment when they were caught by police while driving with curtains installed over the windows of their vehicle.
Calgary police stopped a driver on Sunday in the 400 block of 52 Street S.E. after noticing fabric installed on the front driver and passenger side windows.
The vehicle’s owner told officers they had mounted the curtains to block the brightness of the sun.
Calgary police said the driver’s view was obstructed.
“Safe driving means clear visibility and responsible choices to protect everyone on the road,” police said in a statement.
The driver was issued a ticket and told to remove the curtains immediately.
