A dairy-free vegan chocolate ice cream is being recalled over undeclared milk after reactions associated with the consumption were reported.

In a food recall warning shared Tuesday, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) said the brand “Delight Chocolate” is recalling its dairy-free chocolate ice cream that comes in 500- and 112-millilitre tubs, respectively.

The CFIA said the affected ice cream are being recalled from retailers because they contain milk which is not stated on the label.

The agency said the Universal Product Code for the 500 millilitre is 627987197297.

“The recall was triggered by a consumer complaint,” the CFIA said in the recall,

The recall also said there have been reports of reactions linked to people consuming the ice creams.

For safety, CFIA urges customers to check if they have the affected ice cream.

The recall said, “Do not consume recalled products to which you are allergic or sensitive as they may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction.”

The CFIA added that the affected ice cream should be thrown out or returned to the location where it was purchased.
