An electric train set designed for children that was previously sold on Amazon’s Canadian website may cause injury, Health Canada warned.
According to Health Canada, the “Electric Train Set for Toddlers” has no mechanism to stop the wheels turning when they make contact with skin, which the health agency says could pose a risk of injury.
“Consumers should immediately stop using the affected product and safely dispose of it in such a way that it cannot be used again,” Health Canada said in a consumer product advisory.
As of Wednesday, no injuries have been reported in Canada.
The product can be identified through its Amazon Standard Identification Number, B0FFH5Y7HH. The set includes trains, trucks, traffic signs, tracks, and characters. The tracks have built in magnetic connections and a smoke function.
The product has been removed from Amazon.ca. Health Canada says it has contacted Sotodik Official, a company based out of China, “and is advising consumers to immediately stop using the affected electric train set for toddlers.”
