A customer was caught on camera waddling out of a Starbucks at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ont.
But it wasn’t their typical clientele.
Video shared on social media showed a Canada goose exiting the shop Thursday afternoon and taking flight, as students scrambled to get out of the bird’s way. The video ended as it flew past The Hawk Stop.

Canada geese are a common sight, not only on campus, but around the community.
In April 2025, a pair of belligerent birds terrorized a home in Uptown Waterloo.
Security video showed them attacking students, pedestrians and even dogs who got a little too close to the home. The students who lived there said they had to resort to sneaking in through the back door because they were afraid of their aggressive avian neighbours.
