Someone who bought a Lotto Max ticket in the Okanagan is $75 million richer.

The winner of Tuesday’s $75 million Lotto Max jackpot bought their ticket in British Columbia, according to the provincial lottery corporation.

The ticket was sold in Penticton but the specific location where the lucky winner made the purchase won’t be revealed until the prize is claimed, the B.C. Lottery Corporation said in a statement.

The player matched all seven numbers, defying sky-high odds to win.

The winning numbers were: 3, 8, 15, 19, 23, 29 and 37.

The odds of taking home the jackpot are roughly one in 33,294,800 per $5 play, according to BCLC.

The person who purchased the ticket has 52 weeks to come forward.

The jackpot is not the largest-ever in B.C. but it’s close. Last May, a Surrey resident won an $80-million Lotto Max draw.
