Two more people have died from injuries sustained during a two-vehicle collision involving a tractor-trailer late last month in Oxford County, Ont., bringing the death toll to five.
At approximately 3 p.m. on March 31, Oxford County OPP, fire crews and EMS responded to a collision involving an SUV and tractor-trailer at the intersection of Highway 59 and Quaker Street in Norwich Township.
The driver, a 39-year-old from Cambridge, and two passengers from Tillsonburg, 13 and 17 years of age, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Two additional passengers were transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

In an update from OPP Sgt. Ed Sanchuk on Thursday, Sanchuk says the two passengers, a 46-year-old and a 21-year-old, both from Tillsonburg, have since died of their injuries.
Sanchuk says as a result of the investigation, no criminal charges will be laid.
He says no further information will be released by OPP.
“I just want to take this opportunity to send all my deepest and sincerest condolences to everybody that’s been affected by this tragedy,” he said. “All family and friends, you’re in our thoughts.”
