Provincial police are investigating a shooting that happened at a Caledon home early Friday morning.

According to Caledon OPP, officers were dispatched to a report at around 3:45 a.m. about a shooting at a home on Camino Real Drive.

Police say no injuries were sustained but released photos of a suspect vehicle on Friday that was seen leaving the area. The vehicle is described as a grey Honda SUV.

Provincial police have reported multiple extortion-related incidents in the Caledon area over the past half year. But the Caledon detachment says its investigators believe the incident was targeted and poses no threat to public safety.

“The OPP urges the public to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activity to the police,” said Caledon OPP in part of its Friday social media post. “More information will be released when available.”
