Sarnia’s police chief says investigators will catch the person accused in the shooting death of a 20‑year‑old Sarnia man.
“To Mr. Doe directly, I say that every time you go to sleep, know that there is a real possibility of being awakened to the light of a tactical team,” Chief Derek Davis said at a news conference Monday. “You will be arrested, and what should be occurring now is, call a lawyer and turn yourself in.”
Davis made the comments at police headquarters with members of Dane Nisbet’s family present.
Kyaw (Chin) Doe, 24, of London is charged with second‑degree murder, two counts of attempted murder and one count of possessing a firearm while prohibited.
Police were seen at Doe’s Boulee Street home in London over the weekend.
Deputy police Chief Ron Hansen said investigators have no information suggesting the victims and suspects knew each other.

Three people have been arrested in connection with the incident, including Oudom (Richard) Bun, 23, of London, who was arrested in London over the weekend. He faces charges of second‑degree murder and two counts of attempted murder.
Ava‑Leigh Lightheart, 19, of Sarnia, and Johnathan Osborne‑Walsh, 19, also of Sarnia, face several charges in connection with the case. Police say Osborne‑Walsh became involved after the fact.
Another woman who had been with the group has not been charged.
Police said their involvement began several hours before the shooting, which occurred early Friday morning at Lambton College. Officers were called to a restaurant on Exmouth Street in Sarnia at about 11 p.m. Thursday after a window was broken and a suspect was seen brandishing a firearm.
Police said Doe and three others later went to a bar on Murphy Road before ending up at the Lion’s Den pub at Lambton College. Investigators say Doe and his group became involved in an altercation with other patrons that moved to an outdoor patio, where Doe is accused of pulling a Glock 45 handgun with an extended magazine and firing several shots, striking three people.

Nisbet was killed, while two of his friends suffered non‑life‑threatening injuries.
Police say the firearm was later given to Osborne‑Walsh and was recovered at a Point Edward hotel, where he was arrested.
“It’s my belief and the investigators’ belief that this firearm is a smuggled handgun from the United States,” Hansen said.
Davis said police are working with law enforcement agencies across Ontario to locate and arrest Doe.
“The investigation is ongoing. We are focused on the arrest of Doe, and that will not cease,” he said.
