The full lineup is now set for this summer’s concert series at the PNE, with organizers unveiling the final five performers to round out the shows at the fair’s new amphitheatre.
Among the performers newly announced Thursday are “Weird Al” Yankovic, Pierce The Veil, Sarah McLachlan and Boy George & Culture Club.
Earth, Wind & Fire are also set to take the stage—marking the group’s first-ever performance at the PNE.
They join a previously announced lineup spanning several genres, including Canadian talent, alternative rock, rap, folk, soul and more.
That includes “Wicked” star Cynthia Erivo, who will perform alongside the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. Other acts include the Barenaked Ladies, Train and Nelly.
The opening weekend features Canadian favourites Blue Rodeo and The Guess Who.
The PNE calls it a “full-circle moment,” with Blue Rodeo returning to the stage after delivering the final performance at the former amphitheatre before it closed in 2023 following a 59-year run.
Organizers say the concert series remains one of the fair’s most anticipated events each year—with added excitement this year as it debuts its new amphitheatre.
“(It) will officially christen the Freedom Mobile Arch as Western Canada’s newest premier outdoor concert destination,” organizers said in a news release Tuesday. “The state-of-the-art, open-air venue is set to redefine live music in Vancouver.”
