Senior sprayed with fire extinguisher in ‘unprovoked’ attack at bus stop

Edmonton police are looking for two males who sprayed a woman with a fire extinguisher at a north Edmonton bus stop.

Police are looking for two males after a woman waiting for a bus was sprayed with a fire extinguisher.

According to a news release from the Edmonton Police Service, the 66-year-old woman was waiting in the area of McConachie Boulevard and 64 Street when she was approached by two young males.

One had a fire extinguisher and discharged it, covering the woman and the bus shelter with powder.

The woman was treated at the scene and released.

The male who discharged the fire extinguisher is described as Black, wearing a black jacket with a hoodie.

The second male was light skinned and wearing a white hoodie.

“This was a completely unprovoked and random attack on a senior citizen,” EPS Const. Arthur Rekshta said.

“We’re hopeful someone with information about this incident will come forward so we can hold these people accountable for this unacceptable action.”
