A cache of stolen property – including human teeth – was recovered during an investigation earlier this year, Calgary police said Friday.
Between Jan. 5 and 26, officials said four businesses in Vista Heights were broken into and property was taken.
Days later, police executed search warrants at two homes in the 600 and 1000 blocks of 17 Avenue S.W. and two vehicles.
During the operation, police recovered rare coins, laptops and human teeth, which had precious metals removed from them.
Police estimate the recovered property’s value at $34,915, but say more than $230,000 was stolen during the incidents.
Investigators also found tools and equipment used primarily for melting down precious metals.
Three people were arrested this month in connection with the alleged crime.
Their charges include break-and-enter, trafficking in stolen property, possession of stolen property, drug possession and breaches of court orders.
