A heating and cooling fan has been recalled in Canada due to a potential fire hazard, officials say.

Health Canada published the recall notice Wednesday for the Merkury Innovations Hot + Cool Heating and Cooling Fan, warning that the product may overheat.

The affected units, with the model code MIC-DHC02, were sold between June and October 2025 at TJX Canada stores, including HomeSense, Winners and Marshalls. About 1,800 units were distributed nationwide. The fans were manufactured in China by Merkury Innovations.

“Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products and return to any HomeSense, Winners, or Marshalls for a refund,” the notice read."
