A slot machine player at the Casino du Lac-Leamy in Gatineau, Que., walked out with $1.1 million in prize winnings.
Loto Quebec tells CTV News Ottawa a man won $1,156,969 while playing the Wheel of Fortune slot machine on April 24.
“He won the Powerbucks progressive jackpot,” officials said.
Wheel of Fortune is one of several slot machines available at the Casino du Lac-Leamy.
According to the Loto Quebec website, the Powerbucks Wheel of Fortune Cash Link Big Money slot machine has a minimum bet of $1.
“Spin the wheel and go for the jackpot,” says the website.
In April 2025, 46 poker players at Casino du Lac-Leamy split a historic $2.5 million bad beat jackpot, with the holder of the bad beat hand taking home just over $1 million. It was the largest bad beat jackpot ever awarded at a Loto-Québec casino.
