A teenage boy was injured in a stabbing near a school in Montreal’s Southwest borough on Thursday, according to Montreal police (SPVM).
Police received several 911 calls at approximately 12:10 p.m. about an injured person near the front of Saint-Henri High School on Saint-Jacques Street, close to Saint-Ferdinand Street.
Officers arrived on scene and found the victim, a 15-year-old boy who had sustained injuries to his upper body, believed to have been caused by a sharp object.

Police say the teenager was conscious when transported to hospital, and his injuries are not life-threatening.
The suspect or suspects fled the scene before police arrived.
A security perimeter was established to preserve evidence while investigators work to determine the cause and circumstances of the incident.
Authorities are canvassing the area for surveillance camera footage and seeking witnesses. A canine unit has been deployed to assist in the search, and forensic technicians are expected on scene to collect and analyze evidence.
No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
