Health Canada issued a recall on Thursday for thousands of electric water kettles in Canada due to a potential burn hazard.
Nearly 44,000 electric water kettles from the company Zwilling have been recalled in Canada for a handle that “may loosen or break off entirely during use.”
“In isolated cases, the product defect may cause hot water to spill from the kettle, creating a risk of scalding injuries to the user or bystanders in the immediate area, including small children,” the notice said.
The company said it received 21 reports of incidents in Canada and one of a potential injury.
The affected products, sold between February 2020 and February 2026, are:

This is a joint recall with Health Canada, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC), ZWILLING J.A. Henckels, LLC, and Zwilling JA Henckels Canada Ltd.
Nearly 114,000 units were also sold in the U.S, which has resulted in 96 reports of incidents and one report of potential injury.
Consumers should “immediately stop using” the recalled products and register for the return process to get a refund, the recall added.
To begin the return process, consumers can contact Zwilling by telephone at 1-866-963-4583, Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm ET, by email at enfinigy-kettle-recall@zwilling.com or visit the company’s website.
The Health Canada notice also noted that recalled products cannot be redistributed, sold or even given away in accordance with the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act.
