3 teens facing charges after man killed in Montreal Walmart

Three teenagers have been charged after a 22-year-old man was killed inside a Walmart in Montreal North.

According to the Crown prosecutor’s office, the Directeur des poursuites criminelles et pénales (DPCP), four 15-year-olds appeared at the Montreal courthouse on Thursday.

The DPCP explains that one of the teenagers was charged with a count of second-degree murder.

The second was charged with one count of carrying a weapon with dangerous intent, and the third was charged with one count of after-the-fact complicity in aggravated assault and obstruction of justice.

The fourth was ultimately released without charges.

The DPCP confirmed that the prosecutors handling the case are Patricia Denis and Jérémie Chaput.

The next court appearance is scheduled for June 10.

The arrests come after the 22-year-old man was injured in the upper body with a “sharp object” during an altercation with a group of individuals inside the big-box store near the intersection of Henri-Bourassa and Lacordaire boulevards.

A source tells CTV News that the victim is Geovani Ray Robbins.
