School is officially out for the summer meaning this weekend is the first weekend of the summer where you could see more vehicles on the road and more boats in the water.

OPP are reminding everyone to be safe and take extra precautions when it comes to operating any sort of motor vehicle.

According to OPP, 164 have died this year on OPP patrolled roads.

The top four reasons are speeding, impairment, distracted driving, and failure to wear a seatbelt.

An increased police presence will be found on all roadways this weekend with officers targeting dangerous driving.

Police are also asking boaters, paddlers, and off roaders to make safety a priority this weekend.
