Almonte, Ont., pub seeking ‘furry thief’ who made off with kegs

Published:

The Naismith Pub in Almonte, Ont. is looking for a “furry thief” who made off with four empty kegs over the weekend.

The Naismith Pub in Almonte, Ont., says it hopes to get its kegs back, after a “furry thief” was caught on camera taking them.

“We can’t make this stuff up,” the pub said on its Facebook page, with a video showing someone in a costume or onesie taking four kegs out of a bin and walking off with them.

“He had a mask on and gloves, I think, and a furry suit on with a tail. It looked like a coyote or a raccoon or something like that,” Naismith Pub owner Tony Restivo told CTV News Ottawa. “And he took four kegs!”

The timestamp on the video says it happened at around 4:13 a.m. Saturday.

“As much as we got a laugh out of this video, we would REALLY love it if you could bring us back our empty kegs, you can’t do anything with them, they are pretty useless to you,” the pub said.

People in the area are asked to keep an eye out for the kegs and to tell the pub if they see them.

“We will buy you a drink, no costume required,” the post said.
