A flock of sheep broke out of a busted fence during a thunderstorm, having a wooly good time as they went on a days-long adventure across the Saskatchewan countryside.
A social media post by Dog’s Den on Friday detailed the 15-kilometre “crime spree,” which ended with the fugitives being rounded up by a four-year-old Border Collie named Betty, who was able to help get the gang loaded into the trailer while Pilot Butte RCMP blocked traffic on the highway.
“No arrests were made, but all suspects were returned to custody,” the post read.
According to the owner, some of the culprits are named Ethel, Gertie, Mildred, Bahhbbbs and Supervisor Dottie.
According to a post from Saskatchewan RCMP, 33 sheep in total had gone missing.
“The investigation determined no criminality – just a case of shear brilliance," the post read.
