A 35-year-old man is facing several charges, including public nudity and break and enter, after two different incidents in Summerside, P.E.I., on July 28.
A King Street resident reportedly found a naked man on their back porch and called 911. Summerside Police Services responded to the complaint after 5 p.m.
He allegedly fled from the residence with a pair of headphones and shoes.
Within an hour police received another complaint about a stolen Jeep from Brockville Street.
East Prince RCMP found the Jeep being driven on Clermont Road.
“The officer initiated a traffic stop and arrested the accused, who was naked at the time, and turned him over to the Summerside Police,” reads a post on social media from the police force.
In addition to public nudity and break and enter, the man is also facing charges of theft of a motor vehicle and breach of probation.
The man, who has no fixed address, has been remanded into custody. He was set to appear in court on Friday and is scheduled appear in provincial court on Wednesday to respond to the charges.
