Police say a head-on collision in Bradford West Gwillimbury sent two vehicles in a ditch and took the lives of two pets.
South Simcoe Police attended the collision on Saturday around 7:40 a.m.
Police say a Honda truck was travelling westbound on Canal Road when it crossed the centre line and collided head-on with a Lexus SUV.
The collision sent both vehicles into a ditch, police say. Both vehicles had only a single driver, but the SUV had two dogs as passengers.
Both dogs were killed in the collision.
Each driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries, but their vehicles were severely damaged, police say.
The driver of the Honda truck, a 32-year-old man from Angus has been charged by South Simcoe Police with dangerous operation and operation causing bodily harm.
