Edmonton International Airport (YEG) will hold a full-scale emergency training drill on Tuesday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Passengers and visitors can expect a simulated activity that includes emergency vehicles, lights and sounds in and outside the terminal that could be alarming, the airport said in a media release.
“These training exercises are essential to ensure all teams are well-prepared in the event of an actual emergency,” the release said.
Flights and general operations will not be impacted.
Canadian Airports Safety Week, which the airport is participating in, runs from Sept. 21 to 25.
