Northern Tornadoes Project (NTP) says a waterspout was confirmed over Georgian Bay on Friday.
According to NTP a waterspout is a tornado over water.
NTP says the waterspout occurred around 11:30 a.m. on Friday, near Christian Island, northwest of Tiny Township.
NTP classified the waterspout as EF0-Default, the lowest rating on the Enhanced Fujita Scale.
An EF0-Default means the tornado met a minimum qualification of 90 km/h.
NTP says no damage has been reported as a result of the waterspout.
