Bottles of Aleve and Claritin and Flintstones Complete Multivitamins and Minerals tablets are being recalled due to a distribution error.
The products were “inadvertently reintroduced into saleable inventory and distributed to the wholesale level,” according to the recall notices published Thursday by Health Canada.
The affected multivitamins can be identified by their lot number NAAEXKW. The Aleve and Claritin can be recognized by their dosages, 200 milligrams, and 10 milligrams respectively.
The federal department is urging consumers to verify if their product is affected. It recommends consulting health-care providers prior to discontinuing use, or for any health concerns, and reporting any side effects to Health Canada.
All three products were classified as Type III recalls, where exposure to the affected items will not likely carry health consequences.
