A home in Montreal North has been set on fire for the second time in two days, according to Montreal police (SPVM).

The force received a 911 call at 4 a.m. about the incident on Hébert Avenue and Gouin Boulevard.

“When police officers arrived at the scene, the Montreal fire department was already bringing the fire under control,” said Caroline Chèvrefils, a spokesperson with Montreal police.

“According to initial reports, one or more suspects would have set fire to the front door of the residence and then fled before the arrival of police.”

No incendiary materials were found at the scene, and damage to the home is considered minor.

There were no reported injuries, and there have been no arrests.

The file has been transferred to the Montreal police arson squad.
