A funeral service was held in Edmonton on Sunday for Sgt. Morgan Wong, one of four soldiers who was killed in a deadly fire at CFB Wainwright last weekend.

Wong joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 2017 and was deployed to Latvia from October 2024 to June 2025. According to his obituary, he was training in Wainwright in preparation for a second deployment in Europe.
