On Oct. 24, a motorcade of first responders, military personnel and family members escorted Farrell’s remains from Saskatoon to his hometown of Prince Albert.

The procession included members of the Prince Albert police and fire services, Parkland Ambulance, RCMP, the Saskatchewan Marshals Service, and Buckland Fire and Rescue.

The following day, community members gathered at Prince Albert’s Memorial Square in front of city hall for a vigil honouring Farrell and the three other soldiers who died.
