Provincial police are investigating two reports of needles and metal pins found in Halloween chocolate in Quebec.
The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) told CTV News the two incidents occured in Drummondville, in the Centre-du-Québec region, and Saint-Marcel, in the Chaudière-Appalaches region.
In the first case, a needle was found in a piece of chocolate. In the second case, a metal pin was found in a piece of chocolate.
No injuries have been reported.
Quebec police say there may be other cases, but only two have been reported to authorities so far.
The SQ is reminding parents to check their children’s Halloween candy and chocolate before they eat it. They also warn parents to be cautious of any candy or chocolate wrappers that appear to have already been opened.
