Toronto police say a Burlington man has been charged after a woman was hit in the face with a plate during a brawl in a Chinatown restaurant.

A video recording of the fight was uploaded to YouTube, where it became an online sensation with hundreds of thousands of views.

Several people were involved in the fight broke inside Pho Xe Lua restaurant, at 254 Spadina Ave., early Saturday morning.

As women traded punches and shoved each other during a scuffle, a dinner plate thrown across the dining room struck a woman in the face, resulting in serious injuries.

The victim, who is in her 20’s, required several stitches.

Some of the people involved in the fight, which apparently started with an argument over seating, were wearing Halloween costumes, including the man who tossed the plate, according to police.

Police said the plate-thrower was wearing a “SWAT” costume with a holster, tight black V-neck T-shirt and black pants.

Investigators arrested a suspect Friday.
