Police have released a composite sketch of a suspect wanted in connection with a trio of sexual assaults that were committed in Scarborough nearly 20 years ago.

The first attack occurred on the evening of November 27, 1995 near a shopping a plaza in the vicinity of McCowan Road and Steeles Avenue.

In that incident, police say a male suspect grabbed a woman and attempted to pull her into a mini van. The woman, however, was able to escape the man’s grip and flee the scene.

The other two incidents happened at a shopping plaza near McCowan Road and Finch Avenue on February 20, 1996 and March 4, 1996.

In both of those incidents, police say the suspect blocked a female victim’s vehicle by parking his mini van in its path.

The suspect then approached each victim and told her that he was having mechanical problems with his vehicle and needed their assistance.

Once the women exited their vehicles and went to the right side of the mini van, police say the suspect forced them inside and sexually assaulted them.

At the time of the offences, the suspect was described as brown, 18 to 20-years-old, five-foot-five to five-foot-eight, 130 to 140 lbs. with a thin build, a long face, smooth skin and slightly curly, short, black hair.

The mini-van was described as a two-tone light-brown older model, possibly a 1990-1996 Chrysler, with a grey or beige interior and tinted windows.
