New photos and a video of a man suspected of attacking two women inside their North Toronto home were released by Toronto police Tuesday afternoon.

The photos show the suspect on a TTC bus, wearing a bright blue shirt, a black jacket, dark-coloured pants and what looks to be a dark-coloured bag.

Toronto police spokesperson Const. Tony Vella told CP24 the TTC images were taken shortly after the attack took place.

The 15-second video clip which was released earlier Tuesday, shows the man carrying a bag and pieces of paper, walking along a sidewalk and then up a set of stairs to a residence prior to the attack.

Police said the women were assaulted when they answered the door of a home near Avenue Road and Lawrence Avenue West at about 10:20 a.m.

A man claimed he was selling newspapers and then allegedly forced his way inside and threatened the two women at knife-point, police said. The victims are 25 and 30 years old.

The suspect sexually assaulted both women and during the struggle, suffered a wound to his abdomen, police said.

At least one of the women was taken to hospital after the attack.

The suspect is described as a white male who is five-foot-10 to six feet tall with a medium build and short black hair. He is clean shaven and was wearing a black nylon jacket, black pants and a grey shirt.

Teen sexually assaulted in alley

That incident was one of two serious sexual assaults to occur in Toronto on Monday.

Later Monday, a 16-year-old girl was dragged into an alley and sexually assaulted at knifepoint when a stranger asked her for help.

The violent sexual assault occurred near Broadview and Mortimer avenues, north of Danforth Avenue, at about 9 p.m.

The suspect was in possession of a knife during the assault, police said.

The girl was walking in the area when a man nearby asked her if she had a light to help him find something on the ground.

As the girl approached the man, he pulled her into an alley, threatened her with the knife and sexually assaulted her.

He fled after the assault and has not been arrested. The man was last seen head south on Broadview Avenue on foot.

The girl was taken to hospital.

Police said the male suspect is white, about 40 years old, six feet tall to six-foot-one, and has facial stubble.

He was wearing dark, baggy sweatpants, a button-up style shirt and a dark jacket.

Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
