Two males have been transported to hospital following a shooting in the city’s east end Monday night.

Toronto police say the call for the shooting in the Overlea Boulevard and Don Mills Road area came in shortly before 8:30 p.m.

Both victims suffered multiple gunshot wounds, a representative with Toronto Emergency Medical Services says.

One victim, believed to be in his early 20s, was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The second victim, believed to be in his late teens, was transported with serious injuries.

Both are currently in surgery in hospital, police say.

Investigators believe that an altercation may have started in a restaurant before spilling out into a parking lot and the street.

Police are currently searching the area for four suspects described as black males last seen wearing dark clothing.

Officers are also canvassing local businesses for video surveillance footage.
