Country fans can start the countdown: the Boots and Hearts Music Festival has unveiled the artists who will take over the main stage for summer 2026 in Oro-Medonte, Ont., and the lineup brings a mix of powerhouse veterans and rising stars.
Organizers revealed the Saturday night spotlight will shine on The Chicks, a trio known for turning heartbreak, resilience and sharp storytelling into anthems. Formerly known as ‘Dixie Chicks,’ the band is best known for its hits “Cowboy Take Me Away,” “Not Ready to Make Nice,” “Goodbye Earl,” and “Wide Open Spaces.”
Sunday will close out with Rascal Flatts, a group that built its career on harmonies and nostalgic hits, including “What Hurts the Most,” “Bless the Broken Road,” and “Life is a Highway.”
Organizers say the Friday headliner will be revealed in the coming months, keeping some suspense in the air as the summer season approaches.

Alongside the headliners, this year’s roster features a long list of performers set to keep the energy high all weekend.
Artists announced so far include Russell Dickerson, Jessie Murph, Tucker Wetmore, Brett Kissel, Dasha, Sam Barber, Waylon Wyatt, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Max McNown, James Barker Band and Ashley Cooke.
“More artist announcements will be revealed soon,” organizers stated in a Monday morning release.
The three-day festival held in August typically draws thousands to Burl’s Creek Event Grounds off Highway 11, transforming the rural stretch of Oro-Medonte into one of the biggest music festivals for the weekend.
Organizers say this year’s lineup leans into momentum from past festivals while aiming to deliver a mix that appeals to longtime loyalists and first-timers alike.
“The Chicks said it best, ‘I’ve sure been down this road before,’ but there’s nothing like the road to Boots. This festival and team have always been dedicated to creating world-class experiences that bring people together, and our new three-day format is the exciting next step in that journey,” shared festival co-founder Eva Dunford.
“It’s everything fans love about Boots, only better and more accessible than ever. Every aspect of our festival has been elevated to celebrate the spirit, community and connection that make Boots and Hearts the most unforgettable weekend of the summer.”
All tickets, including weekend, single-day, camping and parking, will be available for pre-sale on Tues., Nov. 18, at 10 a.m., with public on-sale beginning Fri., Nov. 21 at 10 a.m. for the three-day festival running Aug. 7 to Aug. 9, 2026.
