Pop superstar Lady Gaga has cancelled her show at the Bell Centre in Montreal tonight.

In a reel on her Instagram stories, she said she is “heartbroken” to cancel, but she is fighting a respiratory infection.

In the post, she said she’s been fighting the infection for a few days and has been trying to rest and recover, but her illness has worsened.

“My doctor has strongly advised me not to perform today and to be honest I don’t think I could give you the quality of a performance today that you deserve,” said Gaga.

Apologizing to her fans, she said she “truly could not feel worse about letting you down.”

Gaga performed April 2 and 3 in Montreal as part of her worldwide tour, The Mayhem Ball.

“Being in Montreal and performing for you on Thursday and Friday was magical and deeply meaningful,” she wrote.

In a news release, evenko stated that ticketholders will receive a refund within 30 days.
