Shania Twain, the country music superstar from Timmins, Ont., has paid tribute to her hometown on her latest music — and on social media.
In a weekend post, Twain announced that her latest recording, called “Little Miss Twain,” is now ready for release.
“On gold vinyl in honour of my gold mining hometown of Timmins, Ont.,” she said.
“Growing up, I was told a lot of stories of striking gold and chasing dreams, so making this very special edition felt like the perfect tribute to my roots.”

It’s the five-time Grammy Award winner’s seventh album. In her career, the singer-songwriter has sold more than 100 million albums.
The limited edition hometown gold vinyl version of her album can be purchased here.
