Drake and other celebs spotted at Toronto Stadium during Portugal-Croatia match

Multiple celebrities attended Thursday’s World Cup match at Toronto Stadium as Portugal and Croatia battled it out for a spot in the Round of 16.

Toronto-born recording artist Drake, who recently released one of 2026’s most popular albums, Iceman, was spotted in attendance.

The album has sold over 1 million units since its release on May 15.

Scottie Barnes

Toronto Raptors star Scottie Barnes was seen in attendance at today’s match donning a Cristiano Ronaldo jersey.

Barnes received his second all-star nomination in the 2025-2026 NBA season and was a member of the all-NBA Defensive Second Team.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

Hamilton-born NBA champion and NBA Finals MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was seen in attendance on Toronto Stadium’s jumbotron.

Gilgeous-Alexander is a point guard currently playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder and has received multiple NBA awards since he was drafted.

Nelly Furtado

Canadian pop star Nelly Furtado was seen live at today’s game cheering on Portugal.

Recently, Furtado dropped No Place Like Home, released as an anthem for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Gavin McKenna

The Toronto Maple Leafs’ no. 1 overall draft pick, Gavin McKenna, was also in attendance.

In an interview with TSN, he said he was a Ronaldo fan growing up.

John Tavares

Toronto Maple Leafs forward and Mississauga-born John Tavares was spotted at today’s match cheering on Portugal.

During the 2025-2026 season, Tavares crossed the 30-goal threshold for the eighth time in a row.
