The video was posted to social media by the former PM’s son, Xavier Trudeau, 18, to promote his new song, “Downtown.”
“Tag me in your reaction videos,” the younger Trudeau, known professionally as Xav, writes. “I’m reposting.”
As the teen’s song comes over the store’s speakers, played by 95.9 Virgin Radio Montreal, Trudeau appears from behind a corner, clutching a bundle of homeware under one arm and brandishing a plunger in another.
“In the Home Hardware on Saint-Laurent Street,” he says, dancing and singing towards the camera, held by Perry.

The American singer then turns the camera on herself as her head bobs to the music and the two jump around the aisle.
The couple has been romantically linked ever since they were spotted having dinner at a posh Montreal restaurant in July 2025.
