----Survey released on Sunday October 18th, 2015 at 10 pm ET----

The Liberals have nearly a nine-point advantage over the Conservatives heading into Election Day, the latest tracking by Nanos Research for CTV News and the Globe and Mail shows.

According to numbers released on Sunday, the day before voters head to the polls:

• The Liberals are at 39.1 per cent support nationally

• The Conservatives are at 30.5 per cent support nationally

• The NDP is at 19.7 per cent support nationally

• The Green Party is at 4.6 per cent support nationally

In the one-day poll conducted on Sunday, Oct. 18, respondents were asked, “If a federal election were held today, could you please rank your top two current local voting preferences?”

Poll methodology:

A national dual frame (land and cell) random telephone survey is conducted nightly by Nanos Research throughout the campaign using live agents. Each evening a new group of 400 eligible voters are interviewed.

Readers should note that an oversample of 800 interviews were conducted on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The daily tracking figures are based on a three-day rolling sample composed of 2,400 interviews. To update the tracking a new day of interviewing is added and the oldest day dropped. For Sunday’s one-day numbers, the margin of error for 722 decided voters is ±3.7 percentage points, 19 times out of 20.
