Fire investigators are looking into the cause of a massive blaze that destroyed a warehouse in a Hamilton suburb overnight.
After they were alerted late Tuesday night, firefighters spent several hours battling the fire at a Prema Canada warehouse in Dundas.
The business sells tire repair supplies.
Because chemicals and tire material were stored within the building, a number of homes were evacuated as a precaution.
As the fire burned out of control, flames shot several metres into the air and explosions were heard within the building. A huge cloud of black smoke filled the sky.
The fire was brought under control Wednesday morning. At its peak, about 75 firefighters battled the blaze.
No injuries were reported.
