The mayor is being accused of being involved in the planning of a jailhouse assault on his sister’s ex-boyfriend.

In a statement of claim filed by Scott MacIntyre, Rob Ford is accused of conspiring to have the plaintiff “brutally beaten” while incarcerated at the Metro West Detention Centre in March, 2012.

The beating is alleged to have been planned after MacIntyre wrote a letter to Kathy Ford threatening to disclose Ford’s drug and alcohol abuse two months prior, according to the statement of claim.

The statement of claim also names former Don Bosco assistant football coach Payman Aboodowleh, Aedan Petros and Correctional Services.

“Ford became highly agitated that the plaintiff might disclose Ford’s unsavoury activities. Accordingly, he conspired with (Payman) Aboodowleh to send a firm message to the plaintiff to prevent him from doing so,” the statement of claim reads. “In particular, as set out below, Ford and Aboodowleh conspired to have the plaintiff threatened, and subsequently brutally beaten, while he was incarcerated in MWDC.”

The statement of claim alleges that Ford and Aboodowleh “arranged” for persons employed by the Metro West Detention Centre to “facilitate the attack” on the plaintiff and to ensure there was “no supervisions or surveillance of the area” where it occurred.

The statement of claim goes on to state that part of a meeting in which Ford and Aboodowleh planned the attack was recorded and posted on the internet.

It is not known if that video is the one that surfaced in November in which an extremely agitated Ford is captured saying "I'm going to kill that f..ing guy. I'm telling you, it's first-degree murder.”

“He (Ford) denies that he was going to kill anybody,” Ford’s lawyer Dennis Morris told reporters Wednesday afternoon, adding that the allegations are “without fact or foundation.”

Morris said Ford will be acquiring a civil lawyer to represent him.

If Ford chooses to dispute MacIntyre’s claim, he would have to file a statement of defence.

The mayor refused to answer questions about the allegations when reporters questioned him about it late Wednesday afternoon.

None of the allegations has been proven in court.
