HAMILTON -- Police say a 32-year-old man is facing numerous charges, including sexual assault, following an investigation into break-ins in a Hamilton neighbourhood.

Hamilton police say the alleged incidents happened between August and September 2018, when officers responded to a series of suspicious circumstances and break-and-enters in the neighbourhood of Westdale, near McMaster University.

Police say that on Feb. 15, a local man was arrested and is facing charges that include break-and-enter to commit sexual assault and four counts of voyeurism.

He's also facing six counts of criminal harassment.

Police say that they searched the man's computer and allegedly found videos of child pornography, which they say was not related to the Westdale incidents.

He is also facing one count each of possession of child pornography and accessing child pornography.
