Police say a man accused of meeting a woman through an online personal ad and then drugging and sexually assaulting her in a downtown hotel may have additional victims.
The woman contacted the man through a personal ad on Craigslist and then met with him at a hotel on Saturday.
Police allege the man then placed a substance in the woman’s drink at some point during the evening and later sexually assaulted her inside a hotel room.
Eric Alexander, 48, of Toronto, is charged with sexual assault, administering drugs for sex and a number of other drug-related charges.
Alexander is expected to appear in court at Old City Hall on Monday morning.
