A 52-year-old man is dead after he was struck by a dump truck at a waste transfer station in Toronto’s Humber Summit neighbourhood on Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred at around 8:15 a.m. at Millwick Triple Waste Management, which is in the area of Milvan and Millwick drives.

According to police, a 39-year-old man was reversing a 2020 Kenworth truck in the yard when the vehicle struck an employee.

The victim was rushed to a trauma centre in critical condition but later succumbed to his injuries.

Traffic Services is investigating the fatal incident and anyone with information is being asked to contact police.

The Ministry of Labour has also been notified.
