Toronto police are hunting for at least one suspect after a 21-year-old man was shot and wounded near Woodbine Beach, as Canada Day celebrations were wrapping up Sunday night.
The shooting occurred at a condo-townhouse complex near Lake Shore Boulevard and Winners Circle at about 10:30 p.m.
At the time, the Canada Day fireworks display at Ashbridge's Bay was wrapping up, with thousands of people in attendance at Woodbine Beach.
The victim is in stable condition in hospital, police said Monday.
Police have not released a description of the suspect or suspects.
