Toronto police homicide detectives are conducting an investigation on the farm of murder suspect Dellen Millard.

Millard is one of two people charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of Ancaster man Tim Bosma.

Staff Insp. Greg McLane told CP24 officers are at the farm with digging equipment.

Police are following up on a tip but say they are not sure their search will yield anything new.

After Millard’s arrest, investigators have taken another look at his father’s death. Wayne Millard’s death was ruled a suicide at the time.

Police are also looking into the disappearance of Laura Babcock who was friends with the suspect.

Millard is currently in police custody. His lawyer has said his client will be pleading not guilty to the charges.

Tim Bosma went missing the evening of May 6 after leaving his home with two men who wanted to test drive his pickup truck. Bosma had listed the truck for sale online.

Millard was arrested on May 11 by police who charged him with forcible confinement and theft over $5,000.

On May 14, police announced they had located Bosma’s charred remains at a location in the Waterloo region. Millard was charged the next day with first-degree murder.

On May 22, at the same time Bosma’s family held a public memorial service, police arrested a second suspect in the case.

Mark Smich, 25, has also been charged with first-degree murder in connection with the case.
