MONTREAL — Aircraft maker Bombardier Inc. has acquired Velocity Maintenance Solutions in a move that will expand its maintenance, repair and overhaul services in the United States.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Velocity Maintenance Solutions has a hangar at an airport in Wilmington, Del., and 14 mobile repair trucks across the U.S.

Bombardier says the purchase bolsters its U.S. presence and supports its long-term commitment to providing operators with service coverage.

The Montreal-based company is expected to report its fourth-quarter results on Thursday.

The company was recently singled out by U.S. President Donald Trump in a threat to ground and tariff Canadian-made aircraft if Canada failed to certify Georgia-based Gulfstream’s G700 and G800 luxury planes.
